Terence is the lead Project Manager at Forty7 ID. He is a well-versed interiors specialist from Singapore, with more than 20 years of industry experience. Before joining Forty7 ID, Terence has successfully managed various interior and A&A projects for renowned hotel and resort chains, his clientele list includes Meydan, Hilton, Four Seasons, Holiday Inn and Carlton, in addition to a casino and various commercial offices, luxurious private villas and a major university project.

 

Before joining Forty7 ID, Terence worked with key players in the interiors industry in China and Singapore, such as Aedas, KKS International and Hirsch Bedner & Associates. Terence has studied Interior Design, Art Painting and Construction Law. He also has an exceptional furniture design and decoration expertise.

Cheng Chon Hoong

Cheng Chon Hoong
Senior Designer

Cheng is a senior designer at Forty7 ID from Malaysia. He has an extensive experience to offer, having worked in the UK for 17 years with major, award-winning architecture and design consultancies. Cheng is an expert in the global 5-star hospitality, leisure and retail sectors, he excels in delivering unique, outstanding customer experiences. Cheng has a BA in Interior Design from the UK, in addition to many vocational training courses in the interiors industry.

 

As part of the Forty7 ID team, Cheng aims at developing a market-leading service, by constantly monitoring and applying current and future global trends in Concept Design, Branding, FF&E and Project Management.  He strongly believes that paying high attention to details throughout any project, from conception to completion, will always lead to exceeding the client’s expectation.

Alaa Eissa

Inspired by Philippe Starck and Zaha Hadid, Alaa is following the footsteps of both influential figures towards design excellence. Always striving to learn and ever-hungry for more exposure to the industry to add to her BA in Interior Design, Alaa is never reluctant to try out-of-the-box ideas that make her designs unique and bold.

 

A Palestinian who has been born and raised in the UAE, Alaa is deeply rooted in the Arabian culture and its interiors, she’s also well-exposed to the local, traditional design and decoration concepts.

Fatema Huzaifa

Fatema Huzaifa
Designer

Fatema strives for two things in a design: simplicity and creativity. She has an eye for perspectives and is inspired from vintage style and modern contemporary art.

 

What interests Fatema is a space that narrates its own story about the end-user, and an individual’s experience reflected by the interior, as well as playfulness of the color scheme.

 

Fatema has been born and bought up in Dubai, UAE. She has a BA in Interior Design.

Jerome Balao
Designer

Jerome is a licensed architect from the Philippines. Prior to his big move to Dubai, he’s gained an extensive proficiency by working with several top leading architectural firms in South East Asia on numerous multitude projects that include first-class condominiums, resorts, hotels, and houses. After attaining a Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 2013, his work in the design sector exposed him to a wide array of professional environments and introduced him to a roster of brilliant architects; mastering various techniques and schemes, be it architecture or interior design. 
 
Moonlighting as a traveler, jumping from one diverse culture to another; he’d like to think that getting lost in a dimension that is created by art is the mere essence of the medium of architecture.
 
 

Charmaine Chua
Designer

Charmaine is an architect from the Philippines with experience in designing & managing retail, commercial, and residential projects. With a background in integrated sustainable design, she is passionate about creating open spaces, biophilic elements, simple but defined details, and user-responsive design approaches.
 
Charms, as she likes to be called, believes that design should be contextual and adaptive to the culture and spirit of the place, while still incorporating innovative ideas and solutions. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 2008, and obtained her Master of Science in Integrated Sustainable Design in 2013.
